Broadway News Bernadette Peters Demonstrates Her Physically Demanding Pre-Show Hello, Dolly! Ritual Watch what the Tony winner does with the ensemble before each performance.

Tony winner Bernadette Peters and Victor Garber joined the hosts of The View March 13 to talk about their return to Broadway in Hello, Dolly!

The appearance marked a reunion between the two and co-host Whoopi Goldberg, after the trio starred in the 1997 ABC adaptation of Cinderella alongside Brandy Norwood and Whitney Houston.

This marks Peters' return to the Broadway musical stage after the 2011 revival of Follies, and it's been even longer for Garber; his last Broadway musical was Damn Yankees in 1994. “When I was young, that was all I did. And then I stopped singing for a while, and then when I came back to singing, it’s like my muscles atrophied,” says Garber. “You have to keep it up.”

But the true highlight came when Peters demonstrated the exercise she does with the show’s ensemble each night. Watch how many push-ups she can do in the video above!
