Awards Be More Chill's George Salazar to Perform at 2019 Drama Desk Awards; Presenters Announced The annual ceremony will be held June 2 at The Town Hall.

Presenters and performers have been announced for the 64th Annual Drama Desk Awards, to be held June 2 at 8 PM at The Town Hall. Michael Urie, most recently on Broadway in the revival of Harvey Fierstein's Torch Song, will host for the fourth consecutive year.

Those schedule to present awards include Bertie Carvel, Billy Crudup, Joel Grey, Lesli Margherita, Lindsay Mendez, Jessie Mueller, Lynn Nottage, Phylicia Rashad, and Ethan Slater.

Attendees can also expect performances by Be More Chill's George Salazar (who will be accompanied by Drama Desk-nominated composer-lyricist Joe Iconis) and Rags Parkland Sings the Songs of the Future Drama Desk nominees Stacey Sargeant and Andrew R. Butler. Drama Desk and Tony winner Lillias White will sing during the In Memoriam segment.

The Drama Desk is an organization of writers, editors, publishers, and broadcasters covering theatre in New York City. The Awards are the only major theatre honors for which productions on Broadway, Off-Broadway, and Off-Off Broadway compete against each other in the same categories.

Matt Britten, Broadway Brands CEO, serves as executive producer, and Joey Parnes Productions produces the ceremony, as it has since 2012.
