The 2018 season at Barrington Stage Company launches May 23 with Typhoid Mary, which will officially open at the Massachusetts venue May 27.

Formerly titled A Plague of Angels and revised for BSC, Typhoid Mary is written by Mark St. Germain (Freud’s Last Session) and directed by Matthew Penn (Law & Order).

Tasha Lawrence (Lincoln Center Theater's Pipeline) stars as Mary Mallon, known better as Typhoid Mary. As one of the most infamous women in America, “she was incredibly stubborn, ambitious, and in fierce denial of any wrongdoing,” according to the Barrington. This drama captures the controversy surrounding Mary and her steadfast conviction in her beliefs.

The cast also includes Frances Evans (BSC’s Ragtime) as Sarah, Miles G. Jackson (BSC’s Tribes) as Father Michael McKuen, Kevin O’Rourke (BSC’s Gaslight, Broadway’s Cat on a Hot Tin Roof) as Dr. William Mills, and Keri Safran (BSC’s 10x10 New Play Festival) as Dr. Ann Saltzer.

The production features scenic design by Brian Prather, costume design by Elivia Bovenzi, lighting design by Scott Pinkney, and sound design by Alexander Sovronsky. The production stage manager is Geoff Boronda.
