The West Village-based Axis Company has revealed the lineup of its 20th anniversary season, kicking off March 13 with a world premiere written and directed by Artistic Director Randy Sharp.

Set in 1623, Strangers in the World follows a group of Puritans who, after years of isolation and dire circumstances, decide to head south despite certain danger. Performances will run through April 6 at the West Village theatre.

The cast will include Spencer Aste, Brian Barnhart, Andrew Dawson, Britt Genelin, Phil Gillen, Emily Kratter, Jon McCormick, and Katie Rose Summerfield. The staging will also feature sets by Chad Yarborough, costumes by Karl Ruckdeschel, lighting design by David Zeffren, and music and sound design by Paul Carbonara.

The season also includes a revival of Sharp’s Dust Bowl-set Last Man Club in June, first presented by Axis in 2013; Victor, the first musical from poet and performer Edgar Oliver, in October; and the interactive, family-friendly Seven in One Blow, or The Brave Little Kid in December.
