The Artistic Pursuit Series, a new educational video series that aims to prepare creatives for the professional world, is now available on Vimeo on Demand.

The first season outlines practical skills for actors, with the first three episodes focusing on Equity principal auditions, Equity chorus calls, audition etiquette, and headshots.

“There is often a disconnect between art degrees and the competitive world. With this series, we aim to fill the gaps,” says creator Caralie Chrisco. “Our episodes don’t teach you how to act, but we teach you everything else. We speak to so many people on our podcast who say, ‘My college wasn’t great at teaching the business side of things,’ so we know that this is an area that needs attention.”

Future episodes of the series, which features a company of New York-based actors, will cover understanding agents and managers, the unions, résumés, pilot season, and finances.

“In future seasons, we're going to focus on different creative fields such as playwriting, directing, and designing,” says co-creator Daniel LeBlanc. "We are thrilled to be the ones to bring this invaluable resource to the artistic community in the greater New York City area.”

Episodes average five minutes and are released on a monthly basis. The first three episodes are currently available for purchase for $1.99 each.
