MCC Theater’s annual Miscast gala takes place April 1 at the Manhattan Center’s Hammerstein Ballroom.
Each year, a host of Broadway favorites turn out to take part in the evening that gives them the chance to perform a role in which they would never be cast. A mix of tongue-in-cheek renditions and show-stopping, once-in-a-life-time performances, Miscast has become a hot ticket for industry insiders and theatre fans alike.
This year's performers include Tony winners Annaleigh Ashford, Gavin Creel, Beth Leavel, Kelli O'Hara, Karen Olivo, and Billy Porter; Tony nominees Stephanie J. Block, Joshua Henry, Andy Karl, Taylor Lauderman, Orfeh, and Ashley Park; plus Grammy Award winner Jennifer Nettles and Mean Girls' Kate Rockwell and Barrett Wilbert Weed.
Stage and screen favorite Laura Linney, as previously announced, is the guest of honor along with MCC Board members Marianne Mills and Harold Newman.
