Broadway News Andy Kelso Returns to Broadway’s Kinky Boots August 8 The original cast member steps back into Charlie Price’s shoes for a limited engagement.

Andy Kelso has returned to the Broadway production of Kinky Boots, stepping back into the role of Charlie Price. He succeeds Panic! At the Disco frontman Brendon Urie.

Kelso joins current Lola, J. Harrison Ghee, in a limited engagement through September 24. Beginning September 26, original stars Billy Porter (who won a Tony Award for his work) and Stark Sands will reprise their performances as Lola and Charlie, respectively, through January 7, 2018, at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre.

Having initially appeared in the ensemble and as Harry in the show, Kelso first assumed the role of Charlie in January 2014 and stayed with the show for over two years. He made his Broadway debut as Sky in Mamma Mia!.

In additional casting news, DeLaney Westfall (Side Show) will assume the role of Lauren beginning August 22.
