Stage and screen veteran Andrea Marcovicci will bring her critically acclaimed new cabaret act, Crossing Time, to Davenport's in Chicago September 13–17.

Featuring Shelly Markham on piano, attendees can expect to hear tunes by Irving Berlin, Kurt Weill, and Jerry Herman, as well as a song by recent Oscar and Tony winners Benj Pasek and Justin Paul. Musical director Markham and Lesley Alexander have also penned the evening’s title song.

Crossing Time will take audiences us on a journey through life's many milestones. “From the sadness of loss, to the joy of wedding bells and beyond, these life-altering moments motivate us to stop taking the ride for granted and, instead, cherish each twist and turn,” according to press notes.

Marcovicci starred on Broadway in the musical Ambassador and in Frank D. Gilroy's Any Given Day. Her screen credits include roles in The Front, Someone to Love, Jack the Bear, Who Is Henry Jaglom?, The Water Engine, and Trapper John, M.D. It has been the cabaret stage, however, where she has received the most acclaim. The singing actor has performed at Carnegie Hall, Avery Fisher Hall, and in concert halls throughout the world. Her solo albums are numerous and include I’ll Be Seeing You: Love Songs of WWII, New Words, Here There and Everywhere, December Songs, If I Were a Bell, The Songs of Frank Loesser, Andrea Marcovicci Sings Rodgers & Hart, My Christmas Song for You, As Time Goes By: The Best of Andrea Marcovicci, and Smile.
