American Horror Story star Jamie Brewer, Debra Monk, and Mark Blum star in the Roundabout Theatre Company production.
Preview performances begin February 1 for Roundabout Theatre Company’s Amy and the Orphans, a new play by Ugly Lies the Bone playwright Lindsey Ferrentino directed by Tony nominee Scott Ellis. Leading the cast of the family drama are Jamie Brewer (American Horror Story), Tony winner Debra Monk (Redwood Curtain, Steel Pier), and veteran actor Mark Blum (The Assembled Parties).
In Amy and the Orphans, three siblings go on the trip of a lifetime. After their father’s death, Maggie and Jacob reunite with Amy, their movie-loving sister who has Down Syndrome. Together, they careen down the Great American Long Island Expressway, navigating strip malls, traffic jams, and family drama.
Performances are in the Laura Pels Theatre in the Harold and Miriam Steinberg Center for Theatre Off-Broadway. The show will officially open March 1.
Completing the cast of Amy and the Orphans are Vanessa Aspillaga, Diane Davis, and Josh McDermitt.
