Broadway News Alison Luff Joins Broadway Cast of Waitress July 23 Also stepping into the Sara Bareilles musical is Mark Evans.

Alison Luff, who last appeared on Broadway in Escape to Margaritaville, returns to the New York stage to star in Waitress. She takes on the central role of Jenna beginning beginning July 23, taking over for fellow former Elphaba Shoshana Bean.

In addition to Margaritaville and the national tour of Wicked, Luff's credits include Les Misérables, Matilda, Ghost, Scandalous, and Mamma Mia! on Broadway.

Also joining the company July 23 is Mark Evans. The actor, who made his Broadway debut in The Play That Goes Wrong, steps into the role of Dr. Pomatter, replacing Erich Bergen.

The current cast also includes Caitlin Houlahan as Dawn, Noah Galvin as Ogie, Charity Angel Dawson as Becky, Ben Thompson as Earl, Larry Marshall as Joe, and Benny Elledge as Cal.

As previously announced, YouTube stars Colleen Ballinger (a.k.a. Miranda Sings) and Todrick Hall (an alum of Kinky Boots and Chicago) are also slated to join the Sara Bareilles musical this summer, playing Dawn and Ogie August 20 through September 15.

The musical is slated to play its final performance at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre January 5, 2020.
