Alex Brightman, the Tony Award-nominated star of School of Rock—The Musical, is hosting a “Tough Love” acting seminar on December 11 in New York City, a class he describes as “making fans, spinning plates, kicking ass.”

The 90-minute seminar will be held 6-7:30 PM at the Ripley Grier Studios, 520 Eighth Avenue in Manhattan. Admission is $50, and sign-ups are being offered only through the email [email protected].

Brightman is promising, “No singing. No acting. Just talking. But like, really talking. I’ve taught a lot of people of all types, ages, sizes, and sensibilities. I get asked the same questions all the time about acting, auditioning, confidence, and how to spin a thousand plates at once. I also hear a lot of nonsense floating around about ‘the business’ and I would love to clear up, debunk, and clarify some things once and for all. There is no cap to how much we can learn, and I feel compelled to share what I have learned over the last dozen years working as a professional actor, writer, and overall plate spinner. Join me for an hour and a half and I promise you’ll leave refreshed, recharged, and reinvigorated to take bigger steps in your career.”
