A Very Wicked Halloween: Celebrating 15 Years on Broadway will air October 29.
The upcoming concert special celebrating the 15th anniversary of Wicked has added two more artists to its swankified roster. Newly announced to take part in the event, airing October 29 on NBC, are Adam Lambert and Ledisi, according to Billboard.
The two join the Tony-winning original Wicked stars Idina Menzel and Kristin Chenoweth, as well as Wicked superfan Ariana Grande, Pentatonix, and the current cast of the long-running musical.
A Very Wicked Halloween: Celebrating 15 Years on Broadway will be taped at the Marquis Theatre with a live audience. Marc Platt produces with Glenn Weiss (who also directs) and Ricky Kirshner of White Cherry Entertainment.
Lambert rose to fame as the runner-up on American Idol in 2009, but prior to then, he appeared in the Los Angeles company of Wicked, understudying the role of Fiyero. R&B singer Ledisi is a 12-time Grammy nominee, most recently for her 2017 album Let Love Rule and singles “All the Way” and “High.”
