Tveit, who is best-known for his television work, including the USA series Graceland and as Danny Zuko on Fox's Grease Live!, has been seen on Broadway in Catch Me If You Can, Next to Normal, Wicked, and Hairspray. He also starred on the big screen as Enjolras in Les Misérables.
Entering its 19th season, the American Songbook series celebrates the achievements of American songwriters. The series gives artists an opportunity to explore an entire catalog of work for a deep dive into their influences and creative identity.
Among theatre-related stars coming up in the series: Passing Strange collaborators Stew and Heidi Rodewald (February 7); Crazy Ex-Girlfriend star and creator Rachel Bloom and series collaborator Adam Schlesinger (February 10); Tony nominee Justin Vivian Bond in an evening dedicated to Karen Carpenter February 15; Tony-nominated War Paint, Grey Gardens, and Far From Heaven songwriters Scott Frankel and Michael Korie will be saluted by Tony winner Kelli O’Hara and Julian Ovenden (February 17).
