A Letter of Thanks From Dear Evan Hansen | Playbill

Sponsored Content A Letter of Thanks From Dear Evan Hansen The hit Broadway show shares a message with fans and audiences about the upcoming year.

Dear Theatre Fan,

2019 is going to be a good year and here's why—we're celebrating two years on Broadway.

And that’s just the beginning. Thanks to an amazing and ever-growing community of fans, we are now able to share this story that’s so important to us with people all over the world. We have some incredible new experiences coming up over the next several months. Seriously, we can barely believe it’s all happening.

First, our first National Tour will take us to 23 cities around the U.S. from Seattle to Orlando, and many places in between. We are so excited that people all across the country will have the chance to experience this story in the their own backyards.

While we have to bid farewell to our amazing Broadway Evan, Taylor Trensch, this January, we’ll welcome a brand-new Evan to our Broadway family and we think he’s pretty uniquely qualified to take on the role of a high school student—since he’s still a high school student. That’s right, 16-year-old Andrew Barth Feldman will be stepping into the iconic blue polo as the first teenager to lead our Broadway cast.

Then in March, we’ll open the first international production of Dear Evan Hansen in Toronto with an all-new cast at the Royal Alexandra Theatre. And this autumn, we’ll be traveling across the pond to open a West End production of the show at London’s Noël Coward Theatre.

We know, right? What an amazing year it’s shaping up to be. We’re getting our Sharpies ready, because with all of these productions, we’ll be using 1,247 casts in 2019 and more than 2,783,712 people will be found in seats across the globe by the end of the year.

Most importantly, we can’t wait to see and hear all of the honest, inspiring stories, letters, and art that we get from our beloved fans. It’s because of you we’ve been able to come this far, and we can’t wait to continue this remarkable journey together for forever.

Sincerely, Us
