There’s a monster rampaging across America, and only two gay scientists can stop it. Kragtar: An American Monster Musical is set to hold a concert presentation at Feinstein's/54 Below August 12. Among the cast is Michael Campayno (The Cher Show, Wicked) and Emily Koch (Waitress).

The story follows Harry Fine and Harvey Finkler two scientists who are partners in and out of the laboratory. With their discovery and prediction of a monster’s arrival, they become a laughing stock and are run out of Stanford. Amidst the stress, the pair breaks up, but teams up years later to fight the creature whose arrival they had prophesied.

Joining The Cher Show’s Campayno and Koch (Waitress) will be Philippe Arroyo (Aladdin), Molly Griggs (Hello, Dolly!), Blaine Krauss (The Cher Show), Zanny Laird (The Phantom of the Opera), Marla Louissaint (Beautiful), Jimmy Nicholas (The Book of Mormon), Jackson Perrin (Ludo’s Broken Bride), T. Oliver Reid (Hadestown), and Annie Yokom (Beyond the Rainbow). Additional casting will be announced later.

Kragtar features a score by Kyle Wilson, with a book by Sam French and Wilson. The concert will be directed by Benjamin Viertel, with musical direction by Nevada Lozano. Musical and vocal arrangements are by Joe Mendick and David Carl.
