Jackie Sibblies Drury’s new play Marys Seacole began performances at Lincoln Center Theater’s Claire Tow Theater February 9. The world premiere from LCT3, directed by Obie winner Lileana Blain-Cruz, is scheduled to run through March 24.

Marys Seacole tells the story of Mary, an ambitious Jamaican woman determined to live a grand life; her adventures take her across oceans and eras, from a battlefield of the Crimean War to a contemporary nursing home, and many times and places in between.

The cast is made up of Quincy Tyler Bernstine, Karen Kandel, Lucy Taylor, Gabby Beans, Marceline Hugot, and Ismenia Mendes.
