The world premiere of Joan, a new play by Emmy nominee Stephen Belber, directed by Adrienne Campbell-Holt, began performances January 19 at the HERE Arts Center where it will officially open January 27. Joan tells the story of a woman and is a look at the moments in which who we are and who we want to be don't align. The production stars Tony nominee Johanna Day in the title role and is scheduled to run through February 16.

Adam Harrington (How to Live on Earth) and Marjan Neshat (Quantico, Julius Caesar) Complete the cast.

Belber's plays include Geomtery of Fire (Rattlestick Playwrights Theater); Fault Lines (Naked Angels/Cherry Lane Theater); A Small, Melodramatic Story (LAByrinth Theater Company); McReele (Roundabout Theatre Company); and Match, seen on Broadway in 2004.
