American Son, a new Broadway play Christopher Demos-Brown, is set to open at the Booth Theatre November 4 after beginning previews October 6. Set in a Florida Police station, the play tells the story of Kendra and Scott, a separated, interracial couple that reunites to grapple with the disappearance of their teenage son.

Directed by Tony Award winner Kenny Leon, the production stars Kerry Washington (ABC’s Scandal), Steven Pasquale (Junk), Jeremy Jordan (The CW’s Supergirl), and Eugene Lee (Gem of the Ocean).

A First Look at American Son on Broadway

American Son received its world premiere at Barrington Stage Company in 2016 after winning the Laurents/Hatcher Award for Best New Play by an Emerging Playwright. The play will mark Demos-Brown's Broadway debut.
