The Barrington Stage Company production of Lucas Hnath's Tony-nominated A Doll's House, Part 2 begins performances July 12 in Massachusetts.

Directed by Joe Calarco, the limited engagement will continue through July 28.

The cast is headed by Ashley Bufkin (Shakespeare’s Globe’s Julius Caesar) as Emmy, Christopher Innvar (The Snow Geese) as Torvald, Obie Award winner Laila Robins (Deception) as Nora, and Mary Stout (Jane Eyre) as Anne Marie.

In the final scene of Ibsen’s 1879 A Doll's House, Nora Helmer makes the shocking decision to leave her husband and children and begin a life on her own. A Doll’s House, Part 2 wonders what Ibsen’s Nora has been up to since she slammed the door.

The creative team includes scenic designer Brian Prather, costume designer Jen Caprio, sound designer Lindsay Jones, and wig designer J. Jared Janas. The production stage manager is Leslie Sears, with casting by Pat McCorkle and Katja Zarolinski.

West Side Story will follow, running August 3–September 1 with an official opening August 8. Choreographed by Robert La Fosse and directed by Julianne Boyd, West Side Story will be presented in celebration of the 100th birthdays of Leonard Bernstein and Jerome Robbins.

The season will continue with the world premiere of The Chinese Lady by Lloyd Suh, directed by Ralph Peña and presented in a co-production with the Ma-Yi Theater Company (beginning July 20), the world premiere of Well-Intentioned White People by Rachel Lynett, directed by Tiffany Nichole Greene (beginning August 16), and Tennessee Williams’ The Glass Menagerie, directed by Julianne Boyd (beginning October 3).
