The League of Professional Theatre Women (LPTW) will lead its seventh annual Women Stage the World Parade through Times Square June 11 to advocate for equal representation of women in theatre. March participants will gather at the Circle in the Square Breezeway starting at 5:30 PM for a parade kick off at 6 PM.

The march will weave through Times Square and the Broadway District, wrapping up at 7 PM.

As the women take over Times Square, they are prompting ticket buyers to ask: “Who wrote, directed and designed this play? What is the theatre’s track record in giving opportunities to women? How can you spread the word and promote women’s voices?”

The march supports the League’s overall mission of promoting visibility and increasing opportunities for women in theatre. Those interested in participating in the event should email [email protected].
