“I haven't actually let it sink in fully,” Tony-nominated actor Eva Noblezada told Playbill the day after news of her nominee status broke. “The nomination for me was a win—it was so unexpected.”

Unexpected as it may have felt for Noblezada, it was also a full-circle moment in more ways than one.
First, there’s the prophecy by her auntie. “She called it from when I was—I'm not kidding—nine years old,” says Noblezada in another 25 DAYS OF TONYS video. “She was one of the Kims on Broadway, and she was like, ‘You’re gonna be Kim on Broadway and go to the Tony Awards.’”
The role of Kim is not only Noblezada’s Broadway debut, it was her first professional job in theatre. While competing in the National High School Musical Theatre (Jimmy) Awards in 2013, casting director Tara Rubin spotted Noblezada and clocked her as the perfect Kim for Cameron Mackintosh’s revival of Miss Saigon coming to London. From the Jimmy Awards to her West End debut and back to New York, Noblezada’s Tony nomination brings her path full circle. Only time will tell what she’ll be up to next.
