In 2015, costume designer Linda Cho won her first Tony Award for her Broadway debut production, A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder. This season, Cho returned to Broadway with her opulent designs for the Lynn Ahrens-Stephen Flaherty-Terrence McNally-penned Anastasia.

This time around, the 2017 Tony nominee feels more comfortable. “I feel like a little less of a deer in headlights,” she told Playbill at Tony press day. “I’m really enjoying the moment more.”
In the video above, Cho also gives her advice for first-time nominees.
The costumes in Anastasia are just one piece of the stunning visual puzzle. She says, “I would like to think that the costume designer is a storyteller and our medium is clothes.”
